The instrument provides in digital version makes use of the fact that current through the capacitor will not lead exactly by 90°C from the voltage across it.
A separate ‘NULL’ control along with the panel meter is provided to compensate for voltage fluctuations and any other variations in the circuitry components.
Measurement is done at A.C. voltage in the range of 200V to 600V at 50Hz.
Measures tand as low as 0.0002 and indication is directly given on the Digital Panel Meter (DPM).
The measurement of Loss Factor can be done for capacitors in the range of 1uF to 1000uF
